Texas High School Basketball - Fairfield triumphant over Elkhart
February 3, 2025: Fairfield, TX 75840 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX) and the visiting Elkhart Elks (Elkhart, TX), observed Fairfield's basketball team overwhelm Elkhart by a margin of 59-23.
The Eagles (26-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Westwood (Palestine, TX). The Panthers come into the 3A Region III District 20 challenge with a 8-16 record. In their last challenge, Westwood trounced Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX), 43-34, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Elks battle the Teague Lions (Teague, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Elkhart will attempt to better on its 9-21 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 12-12 record after their 48-38 league win over Mexia (Mexia, TX).
