Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Adams Cougars (Dallas, TX), 50-41 in a league match.

With the victory, Poteet advances its record to 14-15 on the year. The Pirates travel to West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to meet the Wranglers in a 5A Region II District 14 match on Friday, February 7. The Wranglers enter the match with a record of 23-3.
