February 4, 2025: Elberton, GA 30635 The Monsignor Donovan Catholic Rams basketball squad (Athens, GA), was crushed 67-2 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA)
With the victory, Elbert County advances its record to 22-2 on the year. The Blue Devils host Commerce (Commerce, GA) to meet the Tigers in a A D1 Region 8 battle on Friday, February 7. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 6-18. Commerce lost 48-28 in their recent league battle against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA)
The Rams now own a 0-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edmund Burke Academy for a GIAA AA Region 4 battle on Friday, February 7. Monsignor Donovan Catholic will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 56-46 league win over Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 19-3.
