February 4, 2025: Raton, NM 87740 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Raton Tigers (Raton, NM) and the visiting Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins (Santa Fe, NM), observed Raton's basketball team overwhelm Santa Fe Prep by a score of 48-21.
The Tigers (5-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Lions come into the 2A District 6 challenge with a 8-12 record. In their last challenge, Santa Rosa was routed by Estancia (Estancia, NM), 53-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Griffins battle the Jemez Valley Warrior (Jemez Pueblo, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Santa Fe Prep will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Warrior come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 56-44 league win over Menaul (Albuquerque, NM).
