The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) and the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), observed Bland County's basketball team overcome Giles by a margin of 60-46.

The Bears (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Eastern Montgomery dropped by Highland (Monterey, VA), 61-49, in a league challenge.
