February 5, 2025: Lebeau, LA 70589 The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays basketball squad (Eunice, LA), was crushed 88-49 in Wednesday's league battle with the host North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA)
With the victory, North Central advances its record to 12-19 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA) to meet the Crusaders in a 1A District 5 battle on Friday, February 7. The Crusaders enter the battle with a record of 9-10. Westminster Academy won 83-32 in their recent league battle against Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA)
The Fighting Blue Jays now own a 15-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host JS Clark Leadership Academy for a Freelance battle on Thursday, February 6. St. Edmund will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 55-50 league win over Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-11.
