In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Gretna Hawks basketball team scored a decisive 64-27 triumph over the Nelson County Governors.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood match, on Thursday, February 8. Gretna will attempt to better on its 8-12 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 9-10 record after their 62-17 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA).
