New Mexico High School Basketball - Volcano Vista overwhelms Cibola
February 7, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87114 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), saw Volcano Vista's basketball squad wallop Cibola by a tally of 65-30.
With the victory, Volcano Vista improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM) to confront the Rams in a 5A District 1 challenge on Wednesday, February 15. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 12-12. Rio Rancho won 56-36 in their recent league challenge against Cibola (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 3-20 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 43-40 league loss to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
