Texas High School Basketball - Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men overwhelmed by Wheatley
February 7, 2024: Houston, TX 77020 The Wheatley Wildcats basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights to 46 in the Wildcats league victory on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yates for a 4A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, February 9. Wheatley will battle a Lions team coming off a 47-46 league loss to Kashmere (Houston, TX). The Lions record now stands at 15-9.
The Knights (17-9) will now prepare for their contest against Worthing (Houston, TX). The Colts come into the 4A Region III District 21 contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Worthing was routed by Washington (Houston, TX), 86-63, in a league contest.
