In Friday's league test, the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) basketball squad trounced the host Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), by a score of 77-56.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 test, on Monday, February 10. Midland Valley will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record. The Thoroughbreds come into the test with a 7-16 record after their 69-40 league loss to Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC).

The Fighting Green Hornets (10-13) will now prepare for their test against Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC). The War Eagles come into the AAAA Region 4 test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, Gray Collegiate Academy bounced South Aiken (Aiken, SC), 69-40, in a league test.
