The Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) basketball crushed the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 63-29 in Friday's league bout.

The Blue Devils now possess a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Bland County for a Mountain Empire bout on Saturday, February 8. Grayson County will play a Bears team coming off a 51-39 non-league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Bears record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Galax falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Maroon tide host Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to play the Bears in a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Bland County won 68-66 in their recent league bout against Grayson County (Independence, VA)
