South Carolina High School Basketball - Lakewood holds off Lower Richland

The Lakewood Gators basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets to 44 in the Gators league triumph on Friday.

The Gators now possess a 13-10 record. They play next when they host Wilson for a AAAA Region 5 game on Monday, February 10. Lakewood will confront a Tigers team coming off a 68-36 league win over Darlington (Darlington, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 16-8.

With the loss, Lower Richland falls to 4-15 on the campaign. The Diamond hornets host South Florence (Florence, SC) to confront the Bruins in a AAAA Region 5 game on Tuesday, February 11. The Bruins go into the game with a record of 12-9.
