February 8, 2024: Livingston, NJ 07039 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) and the visiting Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ), saw Newark Academy's basketball squad overcome Weequahic by a tally of 69-54.
With the victory, Newark Academy improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to confront the Bengals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 10. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 10-14.
Next up, the Indians confront the Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) in a Super Essex - Freedom challenge, on Monday, February 12. Weequahic will attempt to improve on its 10-14 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 58-49 league loss to Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ).
