In Saturday's non-league test, the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) basketball squad got by the visiting Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), by a score of 41-39.

Next, the Gamecocks encounter the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 8. Sumter will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Bruins come into the test with a 8-5 record after their 51-19 league win over Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC).
