Texas High School Basketball - Seguin holds off Pieper
February 9, 2024: Seguin, TX 78155 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) and the visiting Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), saw Seguin's basketball squad hold off Pieper by a tally of 79-74.
With the victory, Seguin improves its record to 15-16 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX) to confront the Rangers in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 8-19. Smithson Valley lost 79-70 in their recent league challenge against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Pieper will attempt to improve on its 20-12 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 20-11 record after their 42-38 league loss to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX).
