Kentucky High School Basketball - Rockcastle County nips Mercer County
February 10, 2023: Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) and the visiting Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), saw Rockcastle County's basketball squad hold off Mercer County by a count of 69-65.
With the victory, Rockcastle County upgrades its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Rockets host Model (Richmond, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 12-14. Model won 46-44 in their recent league challenge against Berea (Berea, KY)
Next up, the Titans play the Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 57-55 league loss to Danville (Danville, KY).
