February 10, 2025: Wausau, WI 54401 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Columbus Catholic Dons (Marshfield, WI) and the host Newman Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI), observed Columbus Catholic's basketball team knock off Newman by a score of 60-43.
The Dons (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Colby (Colby, WI). The Hornets come into the Cloverbelt - East challenge with a 8-10 record. In their last challenge, Colby was knocked off by Rib Lake (Rib Lake, WI), 82-70, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Fighting Cardinals encounter the Prentice Buccaneers (Prentice, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 14. Newman will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 62-39 non-league win over Three Lakes (Three Lakes, WI).
