The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) and the host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons (Petersburg, VA), observed Southampton's basketball team overcome Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech by a margin of 46-29.

The Indians (7-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA). The Bulldogs come into the Tri-Rivers challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Brunswick dropped by Greensville County (Emporia, VA), 68-65, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 12. Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record.
