Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Horse Creek Academy Stallions (Aiken, SC), 68-63 in a league match.

With the victory, Ridge Spring-Monetta advances its record to 5-16 on the year. The Trojans host Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC) to meet the Saints in a A Region 3 match on Wednesday, February 12. The Saints enter the match with a record of 11-8. Calhoun County won 78-25 in their recent league match against Williston-Elko (Williston, SC)

The Stallions now own a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blackville-Hilda for a A Region 3 match on Thursday, February 13. Horse Creek Academy will meet a Fighting Hawks squad coming off a 83-79 league loss to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC). The Fighting Hawks record now stands at 6-10.
