The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets topped the host Heath Bulldogs basketball team by a final score of 55-46 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets face the Licking Valley Panthers (Newark, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 17. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 7-14 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 9-12 record after their 52-42 non-league loss to Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH).
