Golden Plains Bulldogs (Rexford, KS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS), 40-38 in a league match.

With the victory, Golden Plains advances its record to 12-7 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Rawlins County (Atwood, KS) to meet the Buffaloes in a non-league match on Monday, February 17. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 14-4. Rawlins County lost 80-50 in their recent league match against Quinter (Quinter, KS)

The Huskies now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greeley County for a non-league match on Saturday, February 22.
