The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC), observed Independence's basketball team edge Providence by a score of 60-55.

The Patriots (20-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 14-11 record. In their last challenge, Butler edged Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 77-68, in a non-league challenge.
