Tennessee High School Basketball - McMinn County fells Cleveland
February 21, 2023: Cleveland, TN 37312 McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cleveland Blue Raiders (Cleveland, TN), 67-54 in a non-league bout.
With the win, McMinn County upgrades its record to 19-7 on the season. The Cherokees host Shelbyville Central (Shelbyville, TN) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 25. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-21. Shelbyville Central lost 75-38 in their recent non-league bout against Warren County (McMinnville, TN)
Next up, the Blue Raiders play the Coffee County Central Red Raiders (Manchester, TN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 25. Cleveland will attempt to upgrade on its 21-7 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Franklin County (Winchester, TN).
