February 21, 2025: Mexia, TX 76667 The Mexia Black Cats baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Jacksonville Fightin' Indians to 1 in the Black Cats non-league win on Friday.
The Black Cats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palestine for a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. Mexia will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Tyler (Tyler, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Jacksonville drops to 0-2 on the year. The Fightin' indians travel to Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX) to clash with the Goats in a non-league test on Friday, February 21. The Goats go into the test with a record of 1-0. Groesbeck won 17-1 in their recent non-league test against Connally (Waco, TX)
