New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Alamos holds off Taos
February 22, 2024: Los Alamos, NM 87544 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) and the visiting Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), saw Los Alamos's basketball squad hold off Taos by a tally of 48-45.
With the victory, Los Alamos improves its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to confront the Elks/Elkettes in a 4A District 2 challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Elks/Elkettes come into the challenge with a record of 14-11. Pojoaque Valley won 40-30 in their recent league challenge against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a 4A District 2 challenge, on Saturday, February 24. Taos will attempt to improve on its 6-19 season record. The Sundevils come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 43-37 league loss to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM).
