The Nucla Mustangs basketball squad (Nucla, CO), was outscored 51-40 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Plateau Valley Cowboys (Collbran, CO)

With the victory, Plateau Valley advances its record to 18-1 on the year. The Cowboys host Cedaredge (Cedaredge, CO) to meet the Bruins in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. The Bruins enter the battle with a record of 5-14. Cedaredge lost 50-48 in their recent non-league battle against Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO)

The Mustangs now own a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ouray for a 3A/2A/1A San Juan battle on Wednesday, February 26. Nucla will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 52-49 league win over Dove Creek (Dove Creek, CO). The Trojans record now stands at 12-10.
