East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Seaforth Hawks (Pittsboro, NC), 61-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Carteret upgrades its record to 20-6 on the season. The Mariners travel to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 25. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 26-1. Farmville Central won 82-53 in their recent non-league bout against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)
