In Friday's non-league game, the host St. James Sharks baseball team scored a close 6-3 victory over the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers.

The Sharks (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC). The Trojans enter the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Northwestern held off Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC), 4-2, in a non-league game.
