The South Spartans topped the visiting St. John Bosco Braves volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawndale for a Pioneer test on Friday, March 1.

The Braves (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Fairmont Prep (Anaheim, CA). The Huskies enter the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Fairmont Prep was knocked off by San Gabriel Academy (San Gabriel, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
