The Friendswood Mustangs triumphed over the host Cypress Falls Eagles softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) in a 5A Region III District 20 battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Friendswood will attempt to move on its 14-1 season record. The Stingarees come into the battle with a 9-4 record after their 15-7 league loss to La Porte (La Porte, TX).
