The Covenant Day Lions baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers to 3 in the Lions non-league win on Tuesday.

The Lions now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Christian for a non-league test on Friday, March 7. Covenant Day will play a Crusaders team coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-0.

With the defeat, Legion Collegiate Academy drops to 3-2 on the year. The Lancers travel to Combine Academy Varsity (Lincolnton, NC) to play the Goats in a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. The Goats go into the test with a record of 0-0.
