In Thursday's non-league test, the Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL) softball squad got by the visiting Holly Pond Broncos (Holly Pond, AL), by a count of 15-14.

Next, the Tigers meet the Vinemont Eagles (Vinemont, AL) in a 4A Area 13 test, on Friday, March 7. Pennington will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 18-0 non-league win over Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL).
