Texas High School Baseball - Crockett loses to Newton
March 7, 2025: Crockett, TX 75835 Newton Eagles (Newton, TX) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Crockett Bulldogs (Crockett, TX), 20-6 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Newton advances its record to 3-9 on the season. The Eagles host Woodville (Woodville, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, March 11. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 4-8. Woodville won 7-6 in their recent non-league match against Hemphill (Hemphill, TX)
The Bulldogs now have a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Latexo for a non-league match on Saturday, March 8. Crockett will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
