March 8, 2025: Carnesville, GA 30521 Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA), 11-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Franklin County moves its record to 9-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Crescent (Iva, SC) to confront the Tigers in a non-league match on Monday, March 10. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 1-2. Crescent lost 6-2 in their recent non-league match against Greenwood (Greenwood, SC)
The Phoenix now possess a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Murray for a AA Region 7 match on Tuesday, March 11. Sonoraville will confront a Mountaineers squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Lookout Valley (Chattanooga, TN). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-9.
