Mississippi High School Baseball - Sacred Heart defeats Laurel
March 9, 2024: Hattiesburg, MS 39401 Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), 7-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Crusaders host Salem (Tylertown, MS) to battle the Wildcats in a 1A Region 8 test on Tuesday, March 12. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-4. Salem lost 15-13 in their recent non-league test against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS)
With the defeat, Laurel falls to 1-1 on the season. The Golden tornadoes host Gautier (Gautier, MS) to battle the Gators in a 5A Region 4 test on Tuesday, March 19. The Gators come into the test with a record of 4-4.
