Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Willow Canyon upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ) to battle the Mustangs in a 5A Northwest test on Tuesday, March 21. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 5-4.

With the defeat, Higley falls to 4-5 on the season. The Knights host Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ) to battle the Pride in a 5A San Tan test on Wednesday, March 15. The Pride come into the test with a record of 6-3. Mountain Pointe won 13-1 in their recent non-league test against McClintock (Tempe, AZ)
