March 14, 2025: Charleston, SC 29412 The James Island Trojans soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Cardinal Newman Cardinals to 1 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Summerville for a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Tuesday, March 18. James Island will play a Green Wave squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Cardinal Newman moves to 4-3 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC) to play the Landsharks in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 15. The Landsharks go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Oceanside Collegiate Academy won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Clover (Clover, SC)
