The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) and the host James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC), observed May River's softball team notch a victory over James Island by a tally of 14-2.

The Sharks (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Bishop England (Charleston, SC). The Battling Bishops go into the AAAA Region 6 bout with a 0-1 record.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Stratford Knights (Goose Creek, SC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 17. James Island will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
