The Midland Trail Patriots baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Richwood Lumberjacks to 9 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Summers County (Hinton, WV). The Bobcats go into the Coalfield AA match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Summers County was edged by James Monroe (Lindside, WV), 4-0, in a non-league match.

The Lumberjacks (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Webster County was edged by Doddridge County (West Union, WV), 24-2, in a league match.
