Illinois High School Softball - Downers Grove South nudges Tremont
March 29, 2024: Tremont, IL 61568 Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Downers Grove South will face a Potters squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Potters record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Tremont falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Turks travel to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
