The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Chapin Eagles (Chapin, SC) and the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), saw Chapin's baseball team beat Hillcrest by a margin of 6-2.

The Eagles (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against River Bluff (Lexington, SC). The Gators enter the 5A Region 4 battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, River Bluff held off Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Rams face the J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Tuesday, April 1. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 7-6 league win over Woodmont (Piedmont, SC).
