Kentucky High School Softball - Belfry bounces Shelby Valley
April 1, 2024: Belfry, KY 41514 The Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) softball routed the visiting Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY), 5-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Pirates (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Scott (Madison, WV). The Skyhawks go into the non-league bout with a 6-5 record. In their last bout, Scott was routed by Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 7-1, in a non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Pikeville for a District 59 bout on Friday, April 5. Shelby Valley will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-2.
