North Carolina High School Softball - West Stokes bounces East Surry
April 1, 2024: King, NC 27021 West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Surry for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3. West Stokes will battle a Greyhounds squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-8.
With the loss, East Surry falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Surry Central (Dobson, NC) to battle the Golden Eagles in a Foothills 2A challenge on Wednesday, April 3. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Surry Central lost 5-3 in their recent league challenge against North Wilkes (Hays, NC)
