The Pope John Paul II Jaguars softball squad (Slidell, LA), was routed 12-2 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting French Settlement Lions (French Settlement, LA)

With the triumph, French Settlement improves its record to 9-9 on the year. The Lions host St. Scholastica (Covington, LA) to face the Doves in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 3. The Doves enter the contest with a record of 8-8. St. Scholastica won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA)

The Jaguars (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Central (Baton Rouge, LA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Central toppled Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA), 22-0, in a league test.
