New Mexico High School Softball - Hozho Academy can't hold off Newcomb
April 2, 2024: Newcomb, NM 87455 The Newcomb Skyhawks softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Hozho Academy Wolves to 13 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Newcomb moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Skyhawks host McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league game on Friday, April 5. The Bobcats come into the game with a record of 2-6. McCurdy lost 14-13 in their recent non-league game against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM)
In their next game, the Wolves clash with the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 5. Hozho Academy will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Mavericks come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 22-7 non-league win over Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).
