New York High School Lacrosse - Islip gets by Sayville
April 4, 2023: Sayville, NY 11796 The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Islip Buccaneers (Islip, NY) and the host Sayville Golden Flashes (Sayville, NY), witnessed Islip's lacrosse squad nip Sayville by a tally of 8-7.
The Buccaneers now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shoreham-Wading River for a Section 11 II battle on Monday, April 10. Islip will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-7 league win over Miller Place (Miller Place, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-2.
In their next game, the Golden Flashes clash with the Westhampton Beach Hurricanes (Westhampton Beach, NY) in a Section 11 II battle, on Tuesday, April 11. Sayville will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Hurricanes come into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 9-8 league win over Eastport-South Manor (Manorville, NY).
