Illinois High School Softball - Marengo bounces East Peoria
April 5, 2024: East Peoria, IL 61611 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) and the host East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), saw Marengo's softball squad nip East Peoria by a count of 8-2.
The Indians now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Loyola Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. Marengo will face a Ramblers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Huntley (Huntley, IL). The Ramblers record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, East Peoria falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Canton (Canton, IL) to face the Little Giants in a Mid-Illini match on Saturday, April 6. The Little Giants enter the match with a record of 6-2.
