In Thursday's league test, the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC), by a tally of 12-5.

Next, the Bearcats clash with the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 14. Anson will attempt to advance on its 8-13 season record. The Raiders go into the test with a 7-12 record after their 6-4 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).

The Yellow Jackets (1-16) will now prepare for their test against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks go into the Rocky River 2A/3A test with a 1-16 record. In their last test, Monroe was routed by Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 17-1, in a league test.
