South Carolina High School Softball - Union County bounces Emerald
April 11, 2023: Union, SC 29379 Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), 14-4 in a league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Emerald for a AAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, April 14. Union County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 12-9 non-league loss to Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-10.
With the loss, Emerald falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Ware Shoals lost 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Whitmire (Whitmire, SC)
