In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Vermilion Catholic Eagles softball team scored a nice 22-5 victory over the St. Martinville Tigers.

The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their match against New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league match with a 5-16 record. In their last match, New Iberia gained a win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA), 25-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 12. St. Martinville will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record.
